Remove Contact from Wave Contact List is Not Possible
I would think it more accurate to state that removing a Google Wave contact is not possible - since the only method is to remove the user as a GMail/Google contact from your account. It seems you can't really edit a unique set of contacts just for Wave. --Mckoss 00:01, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the suggestion, Mckoss. I made a slight tweak to the text to clarify that distinction. - Adam

Green Dot for Online Contacts
From what I have tested so far, the Green Dot for online users is only shown if that user has been added to your Google Chat contacts.
Example: I added new Contacts from Wave to my Google Contact list, however even when these people were chatting with me in Wave I never saw the Green Dot. Once I added them to my Google Chat contacts (within Gmail) I then saw the Green Dot in Wave.

Edit Your Wave Profile
- This section is bit outdated, the "Edit Profile" button doesn't open your profile page anymore but a muted profile wave.
- The link is not profiles.google.com but google.com/profiles/me

- Updated to reflect the current way it works, thanks. --GinaTrapani 00:18, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Auto-Appearance of contacts in Wave using non gmail addresses that ARE associated with Wave account
Is it worth mentioning here (and confirming that this is actually true) that Contacts from your Google Contacts will appear in Wave automatically if you already have their Gmail address in their contact entry, BUT even if a user is able to log into Wave using a non-gmail address and you have that address in your contact entry for that person, they still won't appear in your contact list even though they can log into wave using that email address!
Basically, I can sign into my Wave account using both "user@googlemail.com" AND "myself@myowndomain.com". Both of these addresses are associated with my Google Account.
However, my friends (who are also on Wave) have me in their Google Contacts already as "myself@myowndomain.com", but I am not appearing in their Wave contact list. I therefore have to give everyone two email addresses in order for them to see me in Wave - my preferred email address ("myself@myowndomain.com") for receiving email and my Gmail address ("user@googlemail.com") so they can see me in Wave.
Before updating the web page to reflect this, it is probably worth confirming that it is true. I have done about as much testing as I can without going insane, but if someone else could confirm that the above is true and perhaps update the main page to reflect this discrepency, that'd be marvelous! :-)
